Friday, June 27:
5-7 pm: lecture and meditation

Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29:  
10 am-1 pm, 30-minute break 1:30-3 pm
Morning: physical/energetic training and meditation.
Afternoon: emotional exploration and meditation.

After the summer solstice, this workshop offers a time to attune to the summer season associated with Fire and Heart/Blood/Small Intestine. 
As we know intrinsically, the heart is the center of our being and feelings.
It mediates the physical and subtle bodies, where we refine our qì and spirits.

Attuning with our heart is to attune to the ‘Heart Essence Emptiness' from which all arise and dissolve.

Attraction and repulsion within our heart/mind set the dynamics of life. Yet, there is a place within the heart where space remains unchanged and blissful, the inner orgasmic sense of love beyond conception, from which knowing-how is experienced.

The workshop will offer a multi-angle approach.

On the physical level, we will practice movements to pump blood throughout the body, liberate knots in the heart, and find playfulness in the immediacy of our movement experience.
On the energetic level, we will work on opening key meridians and connecting with the heart's electromagnetism.
On the Emotional level, we will tap into the symbolic subconscious of the mandala of our psyche.
On the Intellectual level, we'll reference key texts to break open our conceptual mind.  
On the meditative level, we’ll attune to the radiance of the heart as a resting space.

All these levels are interdependent and overlap.


DONATION OPTIONS:
The suggestion is between $200 and $350.

How and why are emotions triggered?

And how can we use them as a force of transformation?

The Chinese character for emotions has two parts: the heart is on the left, and on the right is the green and blue/color of life. It gives the image of movement as a surging force.  Emotions express themselves through the dynamic of our constitution and our environment. In this workshop, we will look at emotions as a form of light that colors us and moves within and without us. We will observe how emotions reside within the essences of the zang/organs and manifest as expressions in being. The process engages internal qigong practice and individual intuitive exploration based on the Chinese 5-Element Theory in what Daria called Contemplative Action.

In this class, Daria will provide simple guidance on opening to an awakened state of rest, drawing on simple sitting contemplative practices from the Taoist and Buddhist traditions.

When our mind/heart is resting, whatever occurs becomes part of the all-encompassing space within which all is subsumed. There is no need to accept or reject what arises within or no need to achieve anything by trying.
