T 2: CATSKILLS RUSTIQUE QIGONG WEEKEND

$330.00

This small retreat weekend takes place upstate in the Catskills & Kingston area on a magical land stewarded by Edea and Kyng, two acupuncturists & East Asian medicine practitioners.

CONTENT OF THE RETREAT:

The focus will be on Fire transitioning into Earth.

From the expansion of summer and the fire energy we gather in the Earth.
We receive the fruition of seeding, in harvesting, and renew the power of
Intent, or 意 YI.

The practice will incorporate qigong into movement, meditation, and instruction on the Chinese 5-Element Theory, exploring embodiment and multi-layered life experiences.

Meals are conceived by Chef Athena Kokoronis, founder of Domestic Performance Agency, and will be based on seasonal needs with ingredients from local farms.

LODGING: CAMPING ONLY. Bring your tent. Alternatively, we have two tents available that can accommodate up to two people each, as well as a large communal tent that accommodates groups of 5-7 people, for those who require it. There are Airbnb options in Kingston, if you prefer, at your own expense. Whatever your choice is, please inform us as soon as possible.
We can accommodate limited outdoor showers on a scheduled basis.
We hope that the creek will be running, and we are scheduling a short trip to a nearby swimming hole on Saturday after the session.

WHAT TO BRING:  bug spray, hat, sun protection, and a water bottle.

PRACTICE LOCATION:
We’ll be practicing on a large bed of clover that receives good sunlight and shady areas, as well as in the forest.
The terrain is rocky, and on morning walks we will be on paths that can be steep; good gripping footwear is strongly recommended.  There is also a deck and an indoor practice area available in case of rain. It is a rustic retreat :)!
